Gravity: Make suns, planets and moons have gravity - drawing you closer and closer and if you fail to warp out, you will collide and loose your ship. Ofcause there is a safe distance where there is no gravity.
"Clouds" with "ECM" capabilities, ie they break the lock on ships every cycle (f.ex. 30 secs)
Make all objects collide'able (cept when warping) and also for any type of ammo used. This would allow ppl to use the enviroment for tactical use (hide behind astoroid). Missiles would have to fly around and projectile/laser fire would hit the roid. As someone else have mentioned, this would also give miners an advantage (unless they collide with a roid on the warp-out, and had to re-align for warpout). Some of this is already in the game.

Sorry if this is posted before...
Line of sight; .. for guns; allows players to use the available enviroment tactically, ie. to hide behind structures/astro etc with out taking damage. .. for radars; lets players sneak up on or hide from other players (or NPC). Of cuz a BS hiding behind a omber astroid does little to hide the BS.
This could be EVE-wide and not just complex/deadspace related.

Originally by: Mar Sera People, please. Stop asking for line-of-sight rules on weapons. Doing LOS in a 3D gamespace is computational intensive, and would make the game run slower than molasses at the North pole in February. And nobody wants that.
I want it.. I know it from virtually any other game out there, from single player games (simulating many NPC AI at once) to other online games.
LOS in spacegames is nothing new (Freespace was my favorite back then).
Personally I would preferre less bells and whisles (sound and graphic) just to get this.

Oh yeah... and "crossing the T" - i waaaant it... i neeed it :P
CtT is a manuover where you alling your ship(s) so that they will cross in 90 degree angle to the opposing force. This means that ALL your guns will point 90degree towards the enemy and be able to fire upon him - where ONLY his front guns will be able to target you (since the rest of his guns would otherwise fire into the commandroom of his ship.
Even Star Trek has it (and the game Starship Command) .. "manuovering to rotate phaserbanks.."
Shortly it means that those guns on the "roof" of your ship can't fire at a target below you...
